I’ve never lived in WA, so I can’t say. As someone who lived most of her life as a WOC in Cali, I left and could not be happier.

I lived in Cali for most of my life and left. Do NOT permanently move there without doing a test run.

Sorry, but the techbro culture is Californian. It is. My husband started at IBM before most of you were even alive. Has been in the industry before it was the industry.

If you are very dark skinned, Atlanta or some of the other larger cities in the South are better for you than anywhere in California.

As someone who spent the majority of her life as a WOC living in Cali, Californians are arrogant and over-estimate how great it is and over-criticize everyone else.
