And just like that, white Republican lawmakers add another two weeks of materials to the course’s syllabus.

people need to learn to separate criticism of an entity from criticism of the individuals who make up that entity. Hating “Whiteness” as a structural inequity is way different from hating “You, White Person”. Same way I can say “organized religion is awful” and respect You, A Religious Person, exercising your shit.

Just another coward demanding the whole world be his safe space.

Are these the same kind of dudes who cry about university ‘safe spaces’ and how we shouldnt filter out difficult conversations?

Not at all. AZ DUI statutes are some of the toughest in the nation. As an AZ resident I am glad they take drunk driving seriously. Since this is his second DUI he may be looking at mandatory 120 days jail, not 45 quoted in article.

Yeah, this post is weird. He’s like trying to out liberal everyone while essentially extending a Christian holiday across everyone. D’oh!

“I just walked by a grocery store with a sign in the window saying they would be open until 6:30 p.m. on Christmas.”

No stadium could contain that much grit. Just not possible.

I think, i might be on the minority here, but i LOVE the end, because for me it made sense, we already know on episode 4 that the death star is working, so for me it made sense for everyone to die at the end, i thought that was the best course of action.

Disney ain’t fucking around. In 2 Star Wars movies they killed:

I kinda knew it going in - they did the Halo: Reach thing. “Here’s a big team of people in an installment taking plays days, at best, before the first. And none of these characters are in the installment you all know, even though by all rights they should be heroes.” Of course they all died, I pretty much guessed it

It makes sense though doesn’t it. Now there’s a canonical reason why none of them are in New Hope. Cos if they hadn’t all died, it would be like, but why isn’t Jyn helping out Luke and Han and Leia. This way we know.

Somewhere in the fight over the beach, I was thinking how some minor character probably is going to die because he isn’t in Episode IV. Then I thought, “Wait. None of them are in Episode IV. They are all going to die aren’t they?”

Vader completely wrecking the shit out of those rebels at the end was quite possibly the most satisfying moment in all of Star Wars. That finale was wall-to-wall “holy shit!!!” moments: the X-wings coming to the rescue on Scarif, that corvette ramming into the Star Destroyers, Vader’s Star Destroyer blinking out of
