Mind your language, young woman/man.

I was 3, 1987, and it was Mio min Mio (Mio, My Son) adapted from a children's book by Astrid Lindgren. I think Christian Bale was in it. It scared the crap out of me.

This firstie will be replaced with Hayden Christensen.

Nina Persson, her husband and some other guy also have this band called A Camp. I think their music is quite different from the Cardigans, but well worth checking out especially if you're a fan. Not exactly my taste of music, but the song I Can Buy You is great and Nina sure has an amazing voice.

When I was a kid me, my sister and our friends used to take lössnus - snus that is in loose form - from my dad and compete who could keep it in the mouth the longest or who could swallow the most. Good times, no puking accidents as I can recall.

I was thrilled to hear about the film adaptation of The Hobbit *CHA CHING*, but then it supposedly was going to be two films *CHA CHING CHA CHING*. I was skeptical about that idea, but since LOTR turned out to be amazing so… I didn't find out that it was going to be THREE Hobbit-movies *CHA CHING CHA CHING CHA CHING*

I've seen very little of Big Bang Theory and none of it funny. It strikes me as a sitcom with such a blasé portrait of nerds that makes it too annoying and embarrassing to watch.

Shit. Can't kids in USA under the age of 17 buy CDs with explicit lyrics warnings? Is it illegal or something? This "American prudishness", or whatever you want to call it, usually don't surprise me. But this time it did for some reason. Do parents (in general) not let their kids listen to albums with these warnings?

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly - hell yeah!

The whole having "mixed feelings" about Serenity is a bit tiresome. I'm just going to skip that and say: Serenity is a pretty fucking awesome movie!

Love, love Good Omens!

One of my favourite poets is Edith Södergran (1892-1923), a modernistic Swedish-Finnish poet. I'll just let her poetry speak for itself.

You sought a flower
and found a fruit.
You sought a well
and found a sea.
You sought a woman
and found a soul -
you are disappointed.

The problem and shame is that so little of ancient Greek literature is preserved. The same goes for the Roman, but to a lesser extent. What the Romans did was to imitate the Greeks when it came to literature (tales, plays, poems) and other art forms; it wasn't unusual that it lacked any kind of originality. Also, it's

I agree. The first two seasons were pure magic. Season 3 was pretty good overall - it has some of the best episodes of the serie, season 4 was bad and season 5 was enjoyable again.  At the end of the last episode of season 2 my thought was "my God, they did it! They have ruined Chuck"! Let's just say that it never got

The very first episode of Lost was amazing and I was hooked. I loved the show, but somewhere in the middle of the second season I quite suddenly stopped watching. What made me quit was simply frustration. Mysteries upon mysteries, mysteries within mysteries, where clues upon clues were thrown out. Instead of

I was 9 when I saw X-Files for the first time and that was a hell of a traumatic experience. I had nightmares for weeks and I was creeped out by the theme song every time I happened to hear it. Even today I get a bit of the heebie and jeebies listening to it. As an adult I've watched some episodes here and there, but

You made me goggle the word "dianetics", I thought that it maybe had something to do with fat. Well, I wasn't too far off; apparently it's about the transcendental relationship between the mind and body. According to Wikipedia, Hubbard meant that bipolarity is caused by an engram that restimulate cyclical, and this

Okay, here goes; one of my favourite albums is The Process Of Belief. I think it's underrated; not their best, but I would put it on my top 5 list. Perhaps partly because it was my first Bad Religion album and it got me in to their music and hardcore punk. I think their work is quite consistent quality-wise through

@avclub-eaa88660d97aa2a15400335bcf9d93ac:disqus I completely agree. The point I was trying to make is that if you're not interested in American football or clueless, as I am personally, you still might like FNL because it's so much more than about this particularly sport. I brought up one of the aspects of the show

@avclub-3d43c36374451091416e3baf7eb8147e:disqus I'm an European too. I can't tell my opinions about American football without offend (sorry). I don't get this sport, it looks kinda stupid, I can't see any finess in it, the playfield seems to be too crowded, a lot of overweight players, all that padding suggests it's
