We use pictogram pictures and photos of people and places for communication. My brother is mentally disabled as well. He needs help with many basic practical things. I saw a documentary about typing therapy for nonverbal autistic children and it was amazing to see how they were helped by it and could achieve. Some of

He's a hard ass!

Thank you so much for your article and sharing that about your autistic son, Noel. I appreciated just the fact that you pointed out the there's a wide spectrum when it comes to autism. Just hearing that someone understands and knows it means a lot. My brother is autistic and he's not a high functionl autist, he's like

I too have an autistic brother. He's one year younger than me, and I can't even image how it would have been if he had been a "normal" kid. He is who he is, and I've never, never been embarrased of him. I've always protected him and I always will. The worst thing I know is when people look at him with some sort of

Jesus, that's more than I ever wanted to know about a man's penis' doing. *vomits*

I can recommend Salvador, I think it's a very good film. It's a bit of a shame that it has been overshadowed by Platoon. It has qualities that Platoon lacks. Salvador is one of those films that really goes under the skin; it doesn't just leave you with the thought that "war is hell" that some war films tend to do.

Seeing Arnold Schwarzenegger as the President in the Simpsons Movie, God what I laughed! I didn't see that one coming at all. "I was elected to lead, not to read." Hilarious, but a scary thought in real life indeed.

Musicals are definitely not my type of genre. Hell, I don't even like Sound of Music, but some very good choices there, Juanito. I'm very fond of Sweeney Todd, (hmm, that might reveal something about myself), though I've only seen Tim Burton's version. One reason is that it isn't a "typical" musical. It's a morbid,

Schindler's List. You know, to set the victims and their family members' suffering into perspective.

What an excellent opportunity to display some delightful European mannerism!

Maybe he just loves to bake special brownies.

*laughingly crying*

"Dis must be zee place!"

Oops. In my defence, English isn't my first language. So just go ahead, make fun of the foreigner, won't ya?

I ACTUALLY LOVE LOVE ACTUALLY.

I ACTUALLY LOVE LOVE ACTUALLY.

Hugh Grant has certainly lost his floppy-haired charm. Seeing that picture you wouldn't believe that he once was charming with that sagging face, short grey hair, tired eyes with no hope. Besides he lost all his charm, if he ever had one, with the whole blow job thingy.
