Interesting, that's so different from the experience of the women I spoke to. One is a white woman, the other of Middle Eastern descent, both in their mid 30's. Better to err on the side of caution though. I won't recommend it to anyone.

I live in a college town too. It sounds smaller, two universities and a handful of tech schools. And the cops are usually too busy to deal with noise violations. But our compliance office takes this stuff seriously. Good luck!

Does your city have a compliance or code enforcement office? Where I live cops won't really come out for things like this. But code enforcement will keep track of complaints and fine them. Maybe shut them down if they get enough complaints.

I juste recommended Morocco based on conversations I had recently with two different women shoved traveled there alone. They felt very safe and said they were always treated with respect. I'm sorry to hear they may not have had a typical experience.

New Zealand! Or Morocco. New Zealand has a good reputation and I’ve talked to a couple of women who’ve traveled to Morocco alone and they were treated very respectfully.
