I think I feel about this season like a lot of people felt about season 5 (which I loved): It didn't fully connect with me. I mean, it's still Archer, but while the other seasons had more of a ensemble feel, this season felt more Archer centric, which totally makes sense for the story, but still.

I think it's also something that can be altered in post really easily

Exactly this. Thanks for explaining my own feelings to me (no sarcasm). It does feel like something that was a continuation of last movie and a setup for something bigger, but not a lot more on it's own.

You forget that GotG set the record for highest bodycount in a Hollywood movie. This one had way less.

I saw the movie yesterday. I don't know how to explain it, but if the movie were a game, it felt more like an expansion pack than a sequel, know what I mean?
