And I just re-watched “Moulin Rouge!” for the first time in years and was blown away by Nicole. Best performance of her career, and it puts Emma Stone’s win for a musical to SHAME.

She was up against Judi Dench in “Iris,”Nicole Kidman in “Moulin Rouge!,” Sissy Spacek in “In the Bedroom,” and Renée Zellweger in “Bridget Jones’s Diary”

But she DID get an Oscar for Fences.
