I test drove a T6 S60 and found it to be a pretty nice package, I can only imagine with a lighter more powerful engine up front, and a bit of rear bias on the differentials and it would be one hell of a performer.

It is ok, but even if it did come to the states I wouldn't even consider trading my e91 328i wagon for it, even if I am down 70hp. Just something about it looks mis-proportioned. For a 300hp wagon I would go for a V70R.

Huh, all my google image searching showed wagons with a standard 540i badge. Though I did think I had seen the 525it and 540it badges in the wild. Since the 540i sedan was available with a 6 speed I would think the swap would be pretty straightforward, though I have never done one myself.

Yes, yes it does, BMW used to use t to denote a touring, so it was known as the 540it, even though the badge was still just 540i.

I am probably wrong, but from the teasers it would almost seem the driver would lay on their stomach in the car, if that is the case than I think the crazy bar has been raised, with or without a high wing.

When Vision GT cars released there has always been a seasonal event that comes along with it, which if you finish bronze or better you will get the car.

Outstanding work, more cars need owners that will give them this much attention.

Any chance you will be able to swing it onto a truck scale to get an estimate of the weight? I am curious what a low-optioned non-sunroof manual car weighs in at.

Yes, but once you have done the CCC and HPDE and have received your novice license you can return for un-instructed lapping in the afternoon, and I believe that is around $120. And thanks for the correction on auto-cross. I meant the number of runs depends on how many people register, I did not realize it was 4 runs.

Great track, I just ran their this August for 3 days in Chump. It has a little bit of everything, an excellent track for driver development.

Through the BMW club I believe they do $120 Lapping days at Pacific Raceways and The Ridge, maybe others. (Assuming you have your novice license, otherwise you will need to run a day with an instructor). Also they offer cheap access to auto-crossing with the Porsche club in Bremerton, I think $15 for several runs,

I vote you just drive it like you normally would, just to see what kind of mileage it gets in the real world, granted the elevation change for that trip kinda makes the entire experiment moot.

It is a Passat. (I have no clue either)

I had a blue 83 SR-5 as well, sold it for $50 and bought an 86 Scirocco, wish I would have kept it...

Could not agree more, specifically the R32 in my opinion, but all of them look very clean.

73 3.0csi, if it stays under $20k...

My guess is their reserve is closer to $23-26k, based on what I have seen. Not to say you can't find the occasional e39 M5 for much less, but on average they are still pretty high, especially with such few miles. The cheapest I have seen recently was $7000 here in Seattle, for a clean title but ~185k miles. Most

I was literally just watching that on the PCars forum.

This is true. The 128i should be cheaper to maintain due to lack of turbo, but both motors are good reliable motors. Both get about the same mpg's (I think the 35 is a tad better). I bought a 2011 328i wagon for $25k w/ 50k miles in May 2013, so I imagine a 2011-2012 128i could be had pretty easy at that price now.

I think you could get a 2010 135i around that price. It would probably hold its value better in the long run too.
