I ran into the “game’s not ready at release” problem with Diablo III, which is why I haven’t bought D4 yet. Did drop $20 for the console version with all the DLC, and loved how D3 played that way (by mapping attacks to a few keys....they basically made it a console game on the PC).

RE: Masters of the Universe characters in the real world...they already did that back in the Dolph Lundgren era.

I was an Arya Stark main for the Beta version of MultiVersus, but I had stopped playing well before the hiatus. At least in my personal meta, it was too reliant on spamming moves and needed a lot of balance work (Iron Giant was a considerable offender, because he’s a literal giant in the game). I haven’t played Smash

...and Kieran Bew.

They can, much like David Tennant’s weary Fourteenth Doctor, gracefully bow out and reflect on the “good old days” rather than, y’know, hate-watch and moan about the show on Reddit.

The AmFam Field sausage races are from left field, to behind the plate, into right field, along the warning track. Guessing Top Chef didn’t think that made as good of TV as running the bases....but even then, why not end at Home (it’s literally called the “plate,” and this episode was all about the puns).

I wonder whether or not the show depicted the exact truth of what happened?

...that was already the joke; Hartman passed away in 1998.

“From Eden” is probably my favorite Hozier song, but I’m glad to see one of his songs really pop off (pun intended).

Pointing out that Michelle gave up some of the pineapple she had to tenderize the chicken was also something which should have come up; I suspect her answer would have been a bit less diplomatic had elimination been a possibility. It always bothers me in a team challenge why the chefs don’t do more to set a budget for

I appreciate any and every reference to The Pirates of Dark Water, so good call Saloni!

Literally the only thing I remember about this movie is “The dishes are done, man!” line from the end of the trailer.

Was glad to see the Monona Terrace getting love this week. The UW Law School holds its graduation ceremonies there, so the building will always hold a special place in my heart. Plus, as noted this week, the design and the setting is absolutely beautiful.

Watched the series over a week and a half, and really enjoyed it. Was afraid it was going to be Netflix trying to make “an HBO show,” and that fear was definitely not helped by the Westworld-adjacent theme music. (Yes, I know the composer was ripping off his own work, but I could have used something less derivative

Big difference here is that the books they’re adapting have already been written (which seems to be the falling-off point for much of the fandom).

Fun list, but I find the absence of the Ron Swanson Pyramid of Greatness to be disappointing.

More like a deuce if you ask me.  (Tennis humor!)

FINALLY the Rock has come BACK to the political center!

If the FF movie involves having Galactus, that means having one of his heralds. Garner is being cast in to fill that spot in the narrative as Shalla-Bal. I suspect they’re going to mix-and-match between the Silver Surfer and Frankie Raye for the movie (if only to give Johnny Storm the romantic angle from Nova’s
