When she was nominated for Best Director for Lady Bird, she was just the 5th woman to receive the honor. Her last two films (Little Women, and Barbie) both received Best Picture nods, but the Best Director honors did not follow.

Just because Silver Sable’s film got cancelled....she’s still the obvious omission from this list. Symkaria’s economy being driven by a superhero mercenary group is a concept so comic-book-y that it should be explored.

For what it’s worth, Kingo was the best thing about Eternals. He’s also the only part of that movie which has been referenced outside the film (albeit in passing during Ms. Marvel on Disney+).
