Benz Motor Car No. 1

There are a ton of awful choices for first car, but they might well be eclipsed by bad first motorcycles. Pretty much anything with supercar performance available used under $5k is just generally a bad idea, although at least there’ll likely be far less collateral damage in the event of an accident.

The shitbox that you could just afford, which then breaks your soul when you have to spend nearly every penny you own just to try to keep it running to earn the money for the next repair.

I’d be more inclined to NP it with a 4.0. That 2.5 in a Wrangler was a mouse motor and I’d be concerned that the price combined with the leisurely performance of the included engine would make me regret my purchase at that price.

I bought a late model used car right when the pandemic began, so zowee, “huge” miles since then....

Right? I can’t even travel on the same plane with more than three other managers from my company as part of their disaster plan. And I am nowhere near important to the company if something were to happen.

I hate this “it’s up to the consumer to change” bullshit.  No.  Maybe get the Italian government to invest in more renewable resources.  Changing how they cook their fucking pasta is a drop in the ocean.

Porsche 911 with the Whale Tail

I’m going with the 1965 Ford Mustang 289 ‘K-Code’. This was, as far as I can recall, the first time Ford said “Let’s take this two door coupe with decent performance” and really ratchet it up (though I think it may have been used in the Fairlane as well). I seem to recall that the ‘k-code’ option for the v-8 put out

Mr. Show slapped the shit out of dijonnaise:

Mustang SVO. A friend of mine had one back in the late 80's. I think he picked it up for less than what the GTs were going for at the time. Nobody could believe that this little 4-cylinder was actually faster than the mighty 5.0. It wasn’t exactly stealthy, but it was definitely under the radar back then. Looking

Make them free to attend.

The one you repaired will NEVER break. ;)

When I changed wheel sizes on my old Dakota, I installed a $20 bicycle computer to get accurate speedometer and odometer readings.

Nothing I could ever do could compete against my dad. My dad used to buy JB Weld by the gallon. His entire family was JB Weld-o-holics.

Autonomous cars were always a cash grab. Stroke the ego of a venture capital dipshit (plenty of them are dipshits.) Tell them that they will fund the George Jetson future and enjoy the windfall.

I had my 5 Series wagon and I was reading various websites including this one talking about the 8 series. I was bored at work and I went to E-Bay and put a 3K bid on this which was the lowest priced one at the time and won the auction. $2956 plus tax and title

Well some of these stay in the U.S. to be sold to unsuspecting consumers.

I personally didn’t realize how big a deal and global it was until stuff like this happened in Syria. Before that I figured that the vehicles just went into Mexico and possibly down into South America over time. Never knew it was world wide.
