EV’s and Plug in hybrids
Cars like the Chevy Volt, Honda Clarity, and Mitsubishi Outlander.

I’m invested because it is possible in a general case to make the switch and it is cost-effective once the metrics are known (driving distance, region, budget, etc.) to make an accurate recommendation.

Eh?
Where did I say there was no maintenance... ever?
Reduced maintenance intervals is emphasized to be the heart of the matter for electrics. It is still very good to get the car poked and prodded regularly and every owner should always follow the manual for what to be serviced and when. (this is also implied/every

There’s a recall out for that Leaf generation on the brake cylinder...
If you still have it, send Nissan the bill and get it paid.

You’re talking about a used electrics, right?
Is $10k unreasonable for a used midrange electric car?

It’s a given that any car will have wear... not saying EV’s are immune to it and it should be a given/common knowledge for such, they’re not something exotic.

My new years resolution is in 4K, and people keep asking me what I see myself doing next year, but I have to tell them I don’t have 2020 vision...

That is the first generation of the car, so it’s not a surprise and not a good or authoritative source to extrapolate from.

The top selling PHEV should be the Volt, so that’s surprising to see and the marketing for electric cars is found to be very lacking....

Used cars are the way to go, especially for electric cars and/or plug in hybrids.

A Tesla would probably be able to handle the lifestyle, but is also the most expensive one to do it with.

Have you checked on the used market and/or Carvana?
A refurb electric car is just as good as one fresh from the factory...

On principle, charging at home is the lowest risk.
But yes, the PoS would have to be hacked on the charger network as well.

Nope, just hiking and adventures, but I am aware of the meme.
