Heh, there is even a category at the Marvel wiki that is called Trained by Taskmaster. Ah, Diamondback, Crossbones and US Agent... that brings memories back!

Wasn’t “trained by Cap” a superpower in its own right? Do I remember this wrong?
I would be okay with him leading a Thunderbolts-like team of ex-criminals. Basically replacing both Zemo and the Osborn in their respective role as the team leader.
Good catch!
Hm, Keaton showing up at the end was odd. Maybe they still aim for a Sinister Six movie with him, Venom and now Morbius...?
What an abominable idea. But it has to be a musical too!
The header image is on point, sadly. I still have to finish the Blood and Wine DLC on the PS4. Only then I would even dare to install it on the PC and try it with mods.
Absolutely, but Kennedy seems to have believed that it would be the best to let the directors free reign without a clear vision for the damn thing. This might have worked fine in the past for her productions, but it was a poor choice for Star Wars.
I’m afraid that would have led to accusations of Rey getting carbon-freezed fridged.
The problem with the story group seemed to be that their job was to keep the new canon in line, not to create a consistent arc for the ST.
Uhm, a divine (or at least important) lineage might be not exactly interesting, that’s for sure, but its not exactly a rarity in myths, so I would say it is mythic.
You could say Captain Marvel is the prime example for the movies they describe in the first paragraph as just “fine.”
Everyone sees a tricorn, but all I see is Bucky rocking this look here.
Not that it would be that unusual...
TIL that there was an Avatar fandom.
So the Sith Troopers are what happens when you cross a Redshirt with a Stormtrooper, eh? They somehow look even less menacing than the regular ones here.
I completely agree with your first point. The second? Eh. Ignoring the old guard when they were still available would have led to some backlash from the fans and even more pressure on the new cast.
That’s what they should have done from the very start. The trilogy format was destined to fail. There was no way to use it to introduce a new generation AND do the old guard justice at the same time. And it would have led to much less pressure on the individual movies. Fans have fewer expectations when it comes to a…
I hope that the majority will be disappointed, no matter from which camp they are. That’s the only way I see to restore the balance of the fandom. A mutual feeling of emptiness.
This tingled my nostalgia sensors more than I would have thought. Looks great. I like the setting. Reminds me a bit of Tremors. The Ghostbusters were often out of town in the cartoon, which is deeper ingrained in my idea of them then the movie, I think, so I’m okay with them leaving NY behind.
