once again, i was very clear in my opening statement to say that i don’t think satire needs to provide answers. I think it needs to provide a new way to look at things, expose the ugly parts of society, or show us something we haven’t seen yet. The Boys doesn’t do that.

but we’re not in the mid 2000s, and this show directly lampoons 2016-2022 politics. it’s of this time, and (imo) whatever happened in the comics literally doesn’t matter to this show right now.
