Bingo! Working in the semiconductor industry I got a front row seat to seeing customers, including Ford, GM, and Chrysler, argue over pennies on a $3.00 MCU, literally arguing over 1% of the price of part going into an (at the time) $15-$40K car or truck.

Instead of a virus, picture them as terrorists looking for places to hide. Would you stop locking your doors if terrorists were hiding in homes and cars and killing 1000 people a day? Would you object to a no-unlocked-doors mandate?
