Yeah. I haven’t followed this saga from beginning to end, but if you’re an NFL team and your two best skill position players in the past 5 years think that your quarterback (functional though he might be) is a douchebag who keeps popping off to the media about them, other teammates, the offensive coordinators, etc,

Regarding overall stupidity, it’s still at the top, yeah?

Boom!  Suck it, Burneko!

Fair points. There is zero reason for a fake gun to be used in this situation, which is one of about a hundred ways this shit was misguided af. And if I’m being honest I was thinking more about secondary students, grades 8-12, who (though still statistically slim) face a higher chance of encountering this madness.

I’m not sure I understand what you’re talking about. It is a sad reality that we need to have active shooter drills in schools, but such drills are in fact beneficial. This example was not. at. all.

Eh, when done right, active shooter drills teach the importance of finding a good hiding space, locking the classroom door, etc. (which is better than running through the halls and thus becoming a target for both bad *and* good guys with a gun).  But this was a horrendous bastardization of the spirit of such drills.

I know more than a few teachers who would beat their ass if they tried to fucking shoot pellet guns at them, execution style.

I know more than a few teachers who would’ve beat their ass for shooting them with pellets, that’s for damn sure.

Fuck no.  I love Embiid most of the time but he knew exactly what he was doing with that elbow move.  I also believe that shove caught him by surprise; don’t think he was faking getting launched like that.

Yooo that photo is sick

If a substantive majority of our country actually participated in elections, Republicans would never have have a branch of government again (possible exception of the Senate).

Kevin spilling Chili is the stuff of nightmares. Somehow, even with all of the Michael Scott/Jan/Todd Packer scenes, that chili catastrophe is the most uncomfortable moment in the series!

Any indication of Hitler as a good leader also conveniently neglects the brutal intimidation tactics of his followers when his was a vocal but violent minority in Germany.  He rose to power just as much through intimidation, fear, violence, etc. as he did by being a ‘great leader.’

YESSSS

These crimes are years, maybe decades in the making. And they’ve been seemingly so routine for him and his organization that he probably assumed half the shit would never be noticed. Once he actually *became* President, I’m sure his assumption was that he’d be too powerful to prosecute and/or could be pardoned by his

Give it a rest

Right?  Like if Baghdad had not been raped completely by conquest (I forget who) we’d have an even greater idea of the rich history and culture of Iraq.
