I “keep arguing with them” because I disagree with them. I can’t really take you seriously if you believe that people on Jezebel would laugh at a joke about domestic violence (male on female, of course). I’m well aware ideologues cannot be convinced. I love watching them try and justify their hypocrisies.

You can’t actually believe that if a man murdered his wife in a “creative” way people here would be yucking it up. I’m all for making fun of people who die horrible, painful deaths but all I ask for is consistency.

Or you could read one of the many articles about men killing women that are on this site every day. Tell me how many of those comment articles are filled with jokes. The mental gymnastics in this thread are astounding.

We should make jokes about this man murdered by a woman because lots of other men murder women? Sure, I guess? But what if this man has a physical disability? What if he was a visible minority? What if a rich woman was murdered by her visible minority husband? Could we jokes about that? This is all so confusing...

I’m sorry but I don’t follow the logic. Jokes about a woman being murdered by her husband are not funny because it happens a lot, but jokes about a man being murdered by his wife are funny because it doesn’t happen very often? I think there is a more obvious answer..

Why? Which countries that want nuclear weapons don’t already have them? Nuclear weapons are largely defensive weapons. If Iraq or Libya had nuclear weapons the United States wouldn’t have invaded and Hillary wouldn’t look so clueless when it comes to foreign policy.
