I don’t think she would disagree. But saying, ‘everybody needs to find balance and I’m no different’ is true for ...everyone, no matter how wealthy. It doesn’t say if it’s easier or not for some because the sentence is short.

I don’t know if she was ever going to overcome things like this
When I first played, the moment where you have to defeat all your aeons (even the ones that I worked SO HARD TO GET like the Magus Sisters!) absolutely broke me. The journey was going to cost us EVERYTHING and I couldn’t deal. We had all been through so much!
OMG is this a thing? I just booked my first hair dye appt in nearly a decade in the midst of a tumultuous Fall season lol
Jesus.
I think the issue here is solely semantics. A phrase was created to speak to a very specific phenomenon, so when used to describe other things it doesn’t fit. Always happens with words outside of academic use. That being said, SO MUCH OF OUR SOCIETY IS BUILT AROUND CAPITALISM AND CAPITAL that to find a useful phrase…
I mean, you can’t tell people what they’re sensitive about? And the political tensions between SK and Japan are still ongoing and are at the forefront of the national conscious. It doesn’t seem unreasonable to find this at least, insensitive.
It’s akin to saying, assuming you’re American, ‘How can I remember something that happened in 2001?”
It’s that, coupled with the straining sincerity in her singing. She closes her eyes and really feels it for a moment, it’s the strangest thing. Also, I think Stormi is already awake.
I know someone who complains daily about how he isn’t priveleged ‘cause he’s a broke phd student. Sir. SIR!
Yes, Nuyorican.
She’s definitely racist because she’s very careful about how she refers to these women when she wants to hurt them. Whether she’s afro latina or not, either way you can be self-hating and harmful. Even then, she’s not afro-latina, her previous statements allude to some sort of racial harmony where everyone goes off…
Imagine “Untitled Goose Game” but “Amelie,” where the goal is to set their lives right with small actions like, “find that grandma’s missing puzzle piece,” or “help the gardener plant a garden in memory of his dead wife.”
You know institutions of power have had a long history of doing this to black people, right?
Hollywood: “It’s either this or Zoe Saldana.”
Those influencers you can get mad at for that. That’s another point for annoyance, but even then, that’s not a blanket truth for all of them. There are dog accounts that are influencers lol
But in that way, you’re not their audience. If you resent an influencer for influencing, then you’re not even in their market. They’re clearly not speaking to you.
I mean...I kind of agree with her? Influencers get a lotta shit for something that is a bit complicated and involves a lot of work. As non-celebrity celebrities though, they often downplay or are ignorant of how far their influence goes, that part to me makes them annoying.
“Okay guys, on the board today is, ‘should men have multiple skin care products?’ You know, a shampoo, a body wash, a lotion-”
