Yeah but “like all other Harley motorcycles, it’s expensive”! Hell look at the outrageous price of their Street 500 compared to the Honda 500 Rebel!... Oh, wait. The HD actually lists for a little less than the Honda... Never mind.

I would kiss you on the lips if you were in front of me.

Harley makes V-twins. Harley haters: “Old Tech from Harley! Hate it! Screw Harley.

Harley might be doing a Tesla thing, in that it releases the expensive, flashy EV first and then follows it up with the smaller, cheaper offerings.

And the first time you get caught in the pit when they dump nitromethane through an engine during testing...

I have to say your dad wins this one.  There is no “shifting” in a constant mesh transmission...  only “selecting” or “switching”.

I’m fortunate to have a father who wants his grandson to be as into cars as we do. He often sends us to Gatornationals (qualifying) for this very reason. Feeling the ground shake as the fuelies and funny cars idle is a hugely awe-inspiring experience.

I concur, attend a NHRA National event.  I attended in the “early 2000s” and it is something any Petrolhead needs to experience.  That was back when they were only pushing 1000 HP per cylinder in Top Fuel and Funny Car.

Ha ha, my first NHRA event changed my life even before I got to the gate — they were setting off car alarms in the parking lot. “Yeah those are the Top Alcohol dragsters, the Top Fuel are even louder.”

This is my local track and this is great news! There's a lot of people excited about this. On top of this the other local track that was closed down due to the same guy has been partially renovated this year from volunteer labor and plans to reopen this year as well. It's been too many years since I've been to a race

He was supposed to be the best rookie ever when took over driving the 20 at Gibbs, two years later he was fired.

Say whatever you want about the playoff format but Logano nearly lost his career before he was 21. Now he’s the champion.

I thought it is still based on qualifying position. The car that qualifies fifth and sent to the back will still be in front of the car that has qualified eighth and sent to the back.

Yeah... considering that air resistance is proportional to velocity squared... So assuming less power = less speed... then yeah, that is how this works...

I’m torn about this reply, because:

The plane is said to have been shot down by a flying doghouse.

Looking at that smashed up police car. Are there SO many of these old Fury’s around that they can just smash them up casually for movies these days? Aren’t these in a ‘classic car’ status now and therefore unlikely to be given up to be smashed?

Don’t forget I-90 Speedway in Hartford that abruptly closed right before season opener because Brennan convinced the owner to run Badlands. That track hasn’t been open since, so both of the big name tracks in the area are now shut down.

didn’tThat whole “Gibbs became more expensive” is the key. It have to be... but it was because it allowed Gibbs to upgrade the driver of the 19 with little effort. Gibbs realized they were building the bullets someone else was shooting at them and they decided it would be best to bring the shooter in-house.

One of my favorite fall activities is driving a combine or grain cart for the weekend. Put the Cyclones on the AM radio, pop open a Busch light and just cruise through the field. It's soothing for the soul.
