I should say that Kevin Harvick is absolutely great in the booth, and I just really enjoyed this little LOL when I realized it.

Nawh. Logano got forced by Busch to drive in deep, and the car didn’t stick. Car washed up the bank, wiggled, and tagged Busch in the numbers. Hard, aggressive racing added to physics. Busch got dumped, but not on purpose. He had no reason to go punch Logano. Both at fault, pretty close to equally.

Jeff Gluck and Bob Pockrass are the best journalists working in Nascar.

Nope. Just the fuel in the blower. When an intake valve fails to close, the cylinder still fires. That fire goes back up in the supercharger and ignites the nitro in the supercharger.

Aw, come on. That’s not a blower explosion.

I was wondering which one of you fuckers would “well actually” me.

That is messed up. Have your star.

Big deal. I had so many cows in my SVO in high school I stopped counting.

12/10 Would love and care for until being slaughtered for delicious beef.

NHRA pro series aside, making a pass and being competitive in a class are different.

I don’t know how other tracks are, but at sears point in Sonoma county, there’s a walkway that takes you under the track so you can get to the grandstand on the other side. Me and my son, who was about 9 at the time, stood in that walkway while two top fuels drove over our heads. We both about wet our pants.

This is still my favorite Top Fuel related video

First of all, you have to go see this in person - there’s nothing like it.

I’ve been going to ALMS/IMSA events since 2000, I’ve seen retired F1/Trans Am/Can Am/NASCAR run at historic events and they all have distinct ear shattering (in a good way)noise. All that said, seeing the glass windows on the suites behind the start line at an NHRA event flex and shake from the pressure waves of Top

Similar, though wrong end of the scale.

I went and saw top fuel drag racing a couple of times. Its....pretty nuts. Your brain doesn’t quite compute what’s happening. There’s a car there, and then its just gone. It looks like the laws of physics are being broken.

Plus its the loudest thing i’ve ever seen. Your eyeballs vibrate and compress in weird ways,

“...an eleven thousand horsepower...” sounds right to me.

Actually, there were exactly zero Vikings fans that were surprised how last season ended up going. I married into a Vikings fan family, and watched a room full of people predict Blair Walsh’s 2015 playoff losing field goal shank with 100% certainty. Every person in the room except me knew he would miss.

The 14 stunned birds were later quoted as saying “They were so good at the beginning of the season, what the fuck happened?!”
