Parker Kligerman is carving out a nice little broadcasting career after not being able to find a full time NASCAR ride. He’s a fantastic pit reporter for NBC’s live broadcasts. I’ll be interested to see how he does here.
Husets Speedway used to be the crown jewel of SD dirt tracks. This asshole bought it, priced it out of the market, and then couldn’t figure out how to make a profit on it. Now, it seems like it might go away completely and I’m sad about it. Growing up as a racing enthusiast in SD was tough. There were very few places…
I could be wrong but I think the drivers asked for the tire barrier on the exit of the chicane. They wanted a visual reference as to where the exit of the chicane was.
I found it very interesting that with the lack of prior notes or knowledge of the track there were something like 8 Chevys that qualified in the the top 10. There were speculations in the booth that maybe Chevys simulator had done a better job of getting these teams and drivers prepared. Interesting to think about…
If that’s the case Talledega would have been off the schedule years ago.
The mix of the road course and oval showed a stark difference in driving ability throughout the field, in a way only NASCAR could: Some drivers, the ones more familiar with road racing, were fantastic on the road course and lost loads of time on the oval. Others closed in on cars ahead of them on the oval and then…
I don’t subscribe to the idea that these drivers are “weak” at road courses. This isn’t the 1980s anymore. They get tons of simulator time, go to driving schools, etc to keep their road racing skills sharp.
Yep. Word on the street is that they might have already signed Truex and Bass Pro. If JGR is going to charge you an arm and a leg, take your driver and sponsor, how can you continue?
Yes, Matt’s Bar has Juicy Lucy’s, but you know what?? Juicy Lucy’s are fine and only fine. It’s lava hot cheese that comes shooting out at you after the first bite.
I rented a 2107 Electra Glide Ultra a couple of months ago and like the infotainment screen on it, however the Nav took a long time to boot up. Once it did, it was fairly easy to program and quite accurate. This version sounds even better.
speed is the enemy of long distance riding. When you’re in the elements the faster you go the more wind blast there is, the more fuel you use, etc. To go long distances takes efficiency. Minimizing stops, getting the best fuel mileage you can, and proper routing.

Yup. I’ve given up on any real NASCAR takes from Jalopnik. They get more clicks from bashing it. Head over to Motorsport and ESPN for some real reporting.
Who are these people? The ones on the beach in ‘48? NASCAR hasn’t used a stock body in a very long time bud.
Other examples of vehicles that came out of nowhere/we didn’t know we wanted: Honda S2000, Ford Raptor, Dodge Hellcat... it is possible.
Thank you. This is the best comment I’ve seen on these two posts.
Touring bikes that dont rattle your teeth out.
Posts bashing Harley get lots of page views and comments. That’s what he wants.
Yep. There’s a guy in my hometown that makes a couple gliders a year. He’s putting C-15 Cat’s in them. Not old Detroits.
