Her and Kasey Kane are very similar in the fact that they are underperforming compared to their teammates.

She gets herself in trouble sometimes, but she gets caught up in a fair amount of wrecks that are not of her doing as well. Probably a product of running 15-20th all the time. The top ten usually race pretty clean, but from 15th on back it’s a crap shoot.

I think restrictor plates are as much about keeping the cars in the ballpark and out of the grandstands than keeping the drivers safe. The plates came about after a car got into the catch fence. More to think about than just the racing you see on TV. Also, if you dislike NASCAR so much, why bother to read the

My trucker buddy hates autos. He does some farm/field work and the ones he’s driven hunt for the right gear when off road or at slow speeds.

300 gallons @ 5-6 mpg. So an easy 1200 miles. Drivers can drive 11 hours a day, which usually equates to 800 or so miles. so they fill up once a day usually.

Issue #3 (and a biggie) Batteries are heavy. This test was done at 35,000 lbs. So that’s an empty truck. Loaded trucks are 80,000. How much of that 80,000 will be used by batteries? Inefficiency goes way up if they can’t carry nearly as much as a standard diesel truck

I think that’s the problem with all of the Top Gears. They take people who have never done a car show before and never worked together before, and put them into a scripted box where they will automatically be compared to the longest running and (arguably) the best car show of all time. It’s obviously going to take

How many of those were won off reaction time?

Antron is a drag racer, so although he probably has some fantastic reflexes, I doubt it will translate into him wiping the floor with the other two during challenges (like Top Gear USA). He’s also a genuine car guy and an absolute spark plug. He’s bring a ton of energy to the show.

Rut is extremely natural on camera, which makes sense because of all the TV he does. Adam, as a stand up comedian, had some fantastic quick and witty jokes. Tanner could drive the wheels off anything. I felt like the script interfered with their chemistry more than it helped. Their banter when one was driving and

That was probably the biggest issue with the show. Although he was a good punching bag for the other two.....

I disagree with your assessment of Top Gear USA. I think they had great chemistry once they got the format of their show figured out. Seasons 3-5 are pretty solid. They’re all genuine friends, evidenced by the fact that they’re working to do another car show together now that Top Gear USA is finished.

Agreed. TG:USA was just hitting it’s stride at the end of Season 5. There was a long delay between Season 5 and 6 and you could see the chemistry fall off between them at the start of Season 6.

This is the part I don’t understand. Girlfriend’s dad bought a C5 when he retired. Base model convertible in red with an auto. The most basic and common Corvette out there right now. It sits under a car cover and gets driven a couple of times a year. The spend winters in Florida, but yet the Vette sits in

I believe I read somewhere they let him have it as long as he put it way in the back corner and didn’t allow a bunch of photos of it or anything. Chip Ganassi would rather people forget about that.

1. Sponsorship money. It’s much easier to get a sponsor to sign a year long contract if you say that you can get a proven winner in the seat for a few races.

Agreed... Writing off the sport right now would be an unwise decision. There is a very diverse group of winners and fantastic racing across all three top series.

Yep, I’m thinking he couldn’t get it out of low range.

“Sun Country* line up and hold short. You are 12th in line. Awaiting the arrival of Delta flight 128 in about 5 minutes. They are behind schedule and need to make their gate on time.”

He made it sound like there was a AAA battery set up in the turn 3 grandstand and your seat came with a 50 cal and 4 boxes of ammo.
