I know BMW has had issues with chip shortages/supply issues regarding their wireless charging in the past during the pandemic, which resulted in many vehicles losing that feature that should have had them. Avoiding over stressing the supply might be why it’s not standard. 

It’s full BMW interior and electronics, so yes it has iDrive albeit with a reskinned interface versus BMW. Which is honestly a good thing because iDrive is far and away better than Entune or whatever Toyota’s system is called (also better than Lexus’s system).

Toyota is probably the automaker least able to do something about it. They themselves don’t even control distribution to the Southeast US- Southeast Toyota Distributors and Gulf States Toyota Distributors, two entirely separate private companies, do.

I think the wing on the last Type R looked better because while it was over the top at least the rest of the car was as well to match.

Parents usually know and go along with it. The term “stage mom” or “stage parents” and their stereotypes exists for a reason. They don’t care about their child’s thoughts or feelings…the child is just a vessel that the parents are living vicariously though for the $$$ and access that fame brings.

Ugh…the Challenger IS the Charger coupe, it just has different exterior styling. If you want possible sales split. Just compare the current Charger sales vs Challenger sales. You are not going to see a Charger sedan, Charger Coupe, and Challenger in the lineup because the last two things are the exact same thing. This

The Polestar 2 is built in China and does not qualify for these credits. That’s why they are not doing anything with customers (I’m sure their lobbyist are fuming/busy though).

Keeping the Chrysler 200 name was their first and biggest mistake. I know we often criticized the Big 3 for dumping names too frequently and failing to build equity with them but if there ever was an example of a car that needed a rebrand it was the second gen 200. The previous car had to much of a dumpster fire/low

You bring up Minneapolis/St. Paul’s commuter rail but completely ignore its two light rail lines. 

The i8 has been dead and out of production, worldwide, for over 2 years now. Not sure why you are including it as a core i model  

I suspect consumer expectations between the 300 and Charger/Challenger are a bit different too. That effects “quality” issues reported. Remember this data is from customer surveys.
