The compact hot hatch market has always been larger than the “hot family sedan” market, which probably had its greatest success (from enthusiast) back with the original Taurus SHO. You can afford to be a little more conservative when it comes to looks with the hatch.

The 2nd gen had the large hood scoop and that large wing. I agree though that the 1st gen was a bit more restrained.

I agree that there should be a more thorough review of what is actually going into the products and there effects, but I’m not a fan of outright banning which isn’t done anyways unless it is seen as posing a serious public health/safety risk or a very serious personal risk when used as intended. The government doesn’t

Its only “childish” if you make it boy racerish like the Civic Type R or Focus RS (and admittedly like the old MazdaSpeed3s). Make it like a GTI and its not childish at all.

Whether it is a slam on Lindsay or not depends on whether you find her natural skin and wrinkles attractive or not. For anyone not familiar with the “actual” Lindsay the lead photo offers a good comparison of her more natural look even with makeup.

Yes, and everything you are mentioning demands societal changes. Banning the products/companies are not suddenly going to make people accept natural hair. They will just find other ways to fit society’s acceptable views which would probably be just as damaging.

There are plenty of hair products targeted to other “communities” that are just as harmful. Do you think dyeing, highlighting or bleaching hair (all common with white women) is good for their hair? Or that white women don’t straighten, tease, curl, or perm their hair? Do you think white women never go to salons and

Whatever it is, whoever designed that filter needs to get a raise. It is putting in a lot of work in that photo.

The truth is that many of these products only work because of some (not all) of the terrible chemicals contained with in them. Without some of those toxic chemicals that are bad for the hair’s health you might as well be just be wetting your hair with water.

Agreed

I actually think the fake off-road frippery suits this car very well. It doesn’t look as slab sided nor does it look like the chin is dragging on the ground like the red car in the post. Rear bumper design is also much better than the fake vents.

I’m not 100% sold on the exterior design, I think I like the current gen better. The lower rear bumper really needs to be black to mask that vertical heft.  But maybe it will look better in person or in another color.

This really isn’t news right? I thought it was well understood that all those products and various hair styling techniques were toxic and/or terrible for your hair’s health.

I don’t think QueenVictoriasCorsetKatana was suggesting that that is better or Kevin Alexander did nothing wrong , but “a self-absorbed douchebag who misses that the guy you’re writing about tried to strangle his wife while she had cancer because you’re too busy talking about yourself” is a bit different than the tone

Uhh, have you met professional award winning critics before? Self-absorption is a very very strong possibility...

You know that this is something that a ton of people here (and elsewhere) watch but will never admit to it. Similar to other shows like Big Bang Theory.

It wouldn’t surprise me if the answer to that question is never.

As far as I can tell there is no actual connection between the school and the dorm. It is an off campus building run by an independent organization (Scottish Rite of Freemasons) that accepts women who are UT Austin students to live there. Looking at their website they accept the residents through direct applicants,

If we really want to go down this slippery slope then take your favorite car and there is a 90% chance that the Corolla is a more sensible alternative at likely lower costs. But car decisions are not made on purely rational terms (Spending $60k on Tesla vs this bad, but $60k on BMW vs this sensible? Yeah, ok...).

This doesn’t appear to be a plug in hybrid. I bet the next Prius is plug in version (Prime) only.
