They’re so poor that they can afford to buy 5000 calories a day in fucking food? I don’t buy it. A food desert just means they are heating unhealthy food, not 5000 calories of unhealthy food. A portioned fast food meal would not make you that fucking fat, man.

I grew up pretty poor and went through a ton of drive thru places on the regular. Only after i grew up did i realize it’s actually cheaper to cook your own meals. i feel like when we say fast food is cheaper people like my parents use it as an excuse not to feed their kids properly.
