So who's the ultimate planner? /snark

Huh, looks like Bioware finally managed to render not-creepy eyes?

We love Plex around these parts. Even without Chromecast support, it's handily one of the best ways to stream your media from a computer to your phone. However, when it added Chromecast support, it also became the easiest way to get it to your TV. You can stream directly from your desktop to your TV with just a couple

Case studies are useful for determining further avenues of study, but generally don't have a large enough sample size to make strong conclusions. From your description, it sounds like there are a lot of confounding variables that would need to be well-controlled in order to use it as evidence. I'm not saying you're

This assumes that every game must be written to have a male protagonist, then any female representation is shoehorned on top of that.

Yes, but it matters who is getting offended. If reasonable people are offended, then maybe something should be done. If unreasonable people are offended, then perhaps they should be ignored.

So, you've demonstrated one of two things:

Yes, you do have white male syndrome (your words!).

Nailed. It.

Why does it matter what I want to see if the women in question are comfortable with themselves and aren't otherwise infringing on anyone's rights?

I went back and watched the clip. She says "I'm not a fan of video games. I actually had to learn a lot about video games in the process of making this." She did not say what you are claiming she said. Furthermore, it's not a huge stretch to interpret her phrase "fan of video games" as being roughly equivalent to the

See, this is a common fallacy people have when discussing diversity in video games. No-one is calling for a diversity quota. (Except maybe for having roughly 50% of each gender, which just makes sense because that reflect the actual population of humanity.) We want stories about Transgender Jewish Space Lizards

Have you seen the trigger girl character in kung fu panda? is that how all our female characters should be? should everything be androgynous from now on?

It's why I hate Anita so much. Then she'll come back with the argument "We're not talking about men! We're talking about women!" It's like she doesn't understand that if you're going to claim some slight against one gender you have to prove that the other gender isn't equally slighted in that same regard.

Agreed, but I think the larger point is that most games that feature a "blank slate" character make that character male. In which case one could argue that in these games, the default gender of a human is male. Having a female blank slate is a refreshing alternative.

So here's a serious question that you should think about. You don't necessarily need to respond.

So how, exactly, did saying she didn't like games contradictory to anything else she's said?

So women don't have a place in a "comedic type game"? Got it.

I also never identified as a gamer, despite having played video games my entire life, for roughly the same reason Sarkeesian claims here. And I'm a dude.
