I was agreeing with him and adding to his comment, not arguing with him. Notice I don’t call his post idiotic, which yours have been.

I mean....she grilled Elliot Abrams pretty hard, when no one (even the other standbys like Khanna or AOC) else did so. Considering she’s been in office only a few months I’m fairly impressed with her. I don’t know what we’re expecting of a freshman Democratic senator at a time when the GOP controls the Senate and the

Yeah, one of the ironies is that the “dual loyalty” trope initially started as a way of conflating Jewish Americans with Israel, as if they were the same. The fact that American Jews were considered to be “foreigners” from Israel (a country that didn’t even exist when they were born) and assumed to be disloyal to

I’m Jewish and man, you can fuck off with that nonsense. Sorry.

She’s not the worst speaker but her politics are relentlessly “centrist” and she keeps throwing people like AOC and especially Omar under the bus. I was pleasantly surprised with how she handled the shutdown for the most part, but that was really the exception for her and not really the norm. We need a lot bolder

I mean, I’m kind of in the middle of this whole argument. But I think the title really is irrelevant. If you boil it down, the first Star Wars really is a story about Luke. The trilogy focuses on his journey. And it’s Luke and the other central characters that people grew attached to. The broader universe only ever

I go to theaters a lot still but yeah it’s tough. During the summer, when I have the most time typically, I get so excited for the summer movie season until I remember every weekend is another franchise release. It’s not like there isn’t good stuff coming out, but unless you live in a big market like NYC it can be

Sure, but people came to love these movies because of the characters and story. The special effects and stuff help, but it’s not like there aren’t other “space war” movies.

The way Biden defenders have reduced any act of assault or inappropriate behavior to “not as bad as Trump” is as depressing as it is predictable. Imagine thinking that was the only possible standard of behavior.

Yes, that one. The whole clip is funny (though I think the rest is just average by the standards of that show) but that one part with the truck makes me lose my shit every time. It’s an improv tour de force.

I don’t know specifically what they were in the audition, just that Atamanuik and James Adomian (the “Bernie” to his Trump in the Trump v. Bernie shows they did) have alleged that SNL took them. And given that this is a common allegation against SNL I tend to believe them.

I like Oliver but I think part of his problem SOMETIMES and especially in the Trump era is that he often seems to fashion himself an actual political actor. People forget how insistent Stewart was on not being that. Oliver sometimes takes on this air of seriousness that Stewart did not have, where you realize “oh,

The only truly great “Trump” has been Anthony Atamanuik’s. For the life of me I cannot understand how he doesn’t (still) have a show, particularly when so many rotting boomers continue to like/tolerate the Baldwin version. Just unreal. I think Atamanuik’s might be the best political impression of this age.

Jesus, Colbert’s is terrible. I like Colbert, but he’s barely trying. He should at least bring on an impressionist.

This doesn’t justify being lazy and unfunny. Anthony Atamanuik does a fantastic Trump impression (allegedly, SNL auditioned him and then stole some of his jokes). The Onion does funny stuff with him. SNL is just bad. It’s bottom of the barrel, whatever the target.

FWIW the idea that the first couple seasons were mainly Bart-centric is kind of a myth. That WAS true of the original Tracey Ullman shorts, but if you actually count up the plotlines in the first season, it’s obvious that the writers were already gravitating more to Homer than anyone else. Bartmania was more a

That’s not the full list. I think it’s supposed to have 40 games in all.

It definitely won’t happen with X-Men or TMNT because of the external licenses. It looks like they have Konami on board (Castlevania), so that’s not necessarily the issue, but those games would also require getting Disney and Nickelodeon to sign off. A more difficult task.

SEGA’s own retro releases typically have good or even perfect emulation. Only the ATGames releases are poor.

Yes it would be hypocritical. But how on earth you could have watched the last few years and still think that matter is beyond me. It was hypocritical when he attacked Bill Clinton (an accused rapist and harasser) too. But you know what? It worked.
