They’re also heavily invested in the film “American Animals” which, as it turns out, got rather good reviews. Dumb conspiracy nonsense is dumb.

Honestly, I don’t and never have felt any need to respect the office.
And we’ll never forgive Hillary’s stans for rallying around the one candidate who could have possibly lost to Trump when there were better options available.
You could go back and forth on this all day, you know.
Contrary to what others are saying, he can’t really leave and take Family Guy and American Dad with him. AD is on TBS, but it’s still a 20th Century Fox production, and the shows themselves are still owned by the studio, TBS just has broadcast rights to them. With that said, that could change should one of these deals…
As others have said, I think it’s a case kind of like The Simpsons where the overall value of the show is higher than the weekly episode ratings, thanks to merchandising, syndication, etc. As well, as bad as the ratings are, it should be said that the ratings for network TV in general are getting to the point where 2…
That’s typical of animation in general really. Episodes of these shows take 6-8 months to produce, so by definition they can’t have the typical production/renewal schedules that other shows do.
I hate Jenny McCarthy but in all honesty, if I didn’t know anything about her anti-vax activism and just saw her hosting something I would probably have less of an urge to punch her in the face than I do whenever I see Hardwick.
Doesn’t change that he sucks at it.
I think you could name literally anyone I’ve never heard of and I’d feel confident they would do a better job than Chris Hardwick.
I don’t like or care about Doctor Who, but it is an objectively popular thing.
I always used to say that Chris Hardwick came off as self-absorbed and annoying, and that his face was maybe the most punchable in comedy, and people used to think I was crazy to feel that way.
Aside from being a lamer ripoff of The Colbert Report, Klepper’s show just lacked the dedication to the bit. Most of The Opposition’s jokes were just lame-dick versions of the already subpar jokes that you would have seen on Trevor Noah’s show 30 minutes earlier. Colbert crafted a pitch-perfect parody of Bill O’Reilly…
One of the best eps in a while
I just picked it up, and while I haven’t read the whole thing yet I did happen to flip to the parts about Apu and his take on the animated shows. I would have to say, another poster is right, this review is a bit slanted in how it presents them. He talks about the other animated shows because he is addressing…
I love South Park, but man he is right about Archer. That show sucks, sorry.
I can’t speak for the other films, but Hereditary (which is doing well) makes sense...horror movies tend to do well in the summer, with lots of bigger hit horror movies (like The Conjuring or It Comes at Night) of the last few years coming out then. If anything, they make good counter programming to the big…
He actually is a classically-trained actor (he had designs on doing Shakespearean stage acting before falling into sketch comedy). Bear in mind, acting is precisely what he was doing as his Colbert Report character. And apparently he was going to leave that show and act in movies before the Late Show gig opened up.
Toy Story 3 was also pretty great to be fair. But yeah I agree about Finding Dory. I thought it had some great parts, but the whole of it was nothing special.
Coco was great. I’m not too keen on their sequels for the most part, but their original films can still knock it out of the park for sure.
Hot take: the Incredibles 2 trailers also look pretty terrible
