One of the 234,893 different reasons Hillary lost was her campaign’s decision to attempt to expand the map rather than devote resources to locking up the marginal states they needed to win to secure victory in the electoral college. So to this strategy I say...go for it Trump!  Go for your home state!  See if you can

A great player who won’t be healthy enough to play till next April or might miss an entire season......sounds like a Knick to me.

“The fact of all the salary cap clearing by the Knicks and others just blew up like this would be hilarious if it weren’t so sad for Durant”

Well, that and that extremely very cringeworthy political theater/B.S. questioning of Mattis when he was up for Sec of Defense. That man legit does NOT CARE about gender / orientation / race / or other external factors, as long as they are GOOD at what they do. Who do you think stalled every stupid military-related

JFK is a masterclass in editing, if nothing else.  I think it’s a good movie too, people just shouldn’t take it the least bit seriously.

If I was diagnosing I would say three real challenges stand in her way:

Because discussing effective, detailed policy is not inspiring.  Fiery rhetoric, empty of actionable plans, is.

I mean, that’d be my guess.

He’s a very talented actor, within a limited range. I think it’s funny that he got pilloried for Waterworld and not Robin Hood, because *that* part was not within his range. But the movie had Alan Rickman, and he makes anything worth watching.

Don’t forget that everyone who interested in democratic politics remembers she lead the charge against Al Franken which immediately undercut her support in a few demographics.

Like IamBrett said, when Warren and Harris entered she was fucked. It’s tough to be “The women vote” when both Warren and Harris are also the

Harris seems to have found her niche (she’s the only black candidate with even a slight chance at winning the nomination, and a woman as well), and while she’s well behind Biden and Bernie she’s not doing too bad - she has a good shot at getting some traction in the debates.

Got it in one. At this stage of the game, fortunately or unfortunately, the goal is successful branding. There are 24 candidates fighting for limited media oxygen. The ones that make the cut are the ones whose appeal can be neatly summarized and condensed into a small, easily-digestible statement:

Yeah, but what are they, like 4% in the polls vs. 2% or something like that? I think all three are going to end up being Jon Huntsman.

Trump wrote an op-ed after the city settled with the five calling it “outrageous” and a “travesty”, and when he’s asked about it today he still insinuates they were guilty. Just in case you’d forgotten for a few minutes what an utterly horrific and irredeemable piece of shit he is. Happy Friday!

What devastated Gillibrand’s chances was Elizabeth Warren entering the race. Warren took the “progressive white woman politician with broad appeal” spot that Gillibrand was hoping to get. That left her with no obvious niche, and rather than trying to find one it seems like she’s trying to go broad instead.

Earp suffered for having been released less than a year after the far superior Tombstone.  From what I recall the commentary was it was a more accurate representation of Wyatt’s life, but that didn’t make up for it being dull for a western.

I don't dislike "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf" it's good and kinda funny. However it's a very actory theater kid movie. It's just non stop scenery chewing which is entirely meant to be over the top.

I love Burton in Becket, but it’s one of those movies with such extremely ACTORLY! performances where you have to start thinking of it as a filmed play rather than a movie. See also: The Lion in Winter.

1950s Elizabeth Taylor was just sexy as all hell. “A Place in the Sun”...mmmm. Not a very good actress on the whole, but I haven’t seen “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf” which she’s supposed to be very good in.

The one thing left-wing and right-wing media agree on wholeheartedly is that the country is more polarized than ever and that there’s no middle ground anymore, no such thing as a centrist. But that’s not true. There are reasonable, centrist-leaning conservatives still, lots of them. But the dichotomy in our media

I am nearly 100% certain we’ll have a new civil war over this. Unlike the last one, there won’t be defined borders.
