I could be wrong, but I don't think they're going to make her a secondary character. I think the focus of the series is going to remain on Ahsoka and Anakin, even if they are separated.
If you want dark side fodder consider that they may be setting up a story where Anakin is forced to kill Ahsoka. Personally, I get the feeling we will see more of Ahsoka than some of the other characters you mentioned.
