Yup, exactly. You could probably get back to a good chunk of major cities (although they’ll be bloody engineering work somewhere), but getting on from there to a town or whatever is going to be impossible.

They’ll need to work out where the net is again for that.
He better for the sake of my fantasy side.
I suspect they won 6-2 mostly because they were playing an astonishingly bad Sunderland side. Hopefully Big Sam can save them, solely because I like Big Sam.
I just don’t comprehend how publicly funding stadiums is a thing in the States. It’s just insane. The only example I can think of in the UK is West Ham taking over the Olympic Stadium, and there’s been one hell of a fight other whether or not their rental agreement is too good or not. I guess there’s also Manchester…
“Ok, well I guess we have to pay them. How else can we screw over our atheletes?”
I think the Vatican could have a team! But the average age of resident is probably a bit high, and I assume they have their minds on other things.
Yup, the drive failing is clearly his fault. Clearly.
It’s not really like that. The Faroe Islands are a country. Terre Haute, Indiana isn’t (unless I’ve missed some breaking international news). They’re a tiny country, but they still meet the conditions which basically means the players occasionally get to meet huge footballing superstars. I’d take that deal if I could.
Surely Brie is B+ player?
Brendan Rogers seemed to try and discover his best team and formation by trying every possible combination. Brute forcing the team is not a great plan.
The Thursday-Saturday argument never really works because teams are almost always playing on a Sunday if they played on Thursday. Excluding fixture congestion, Saturday matches don’t really happen for those sides. A two day break should be enough for a quality side.
I’d argue 5 needs to either be moving across to cover 22 so that 2 can move into Hulk or actually cut off Hulk’s shot. Instead he just leaves himself in no man’s land. There’s not a lot of time, but directing traffic and then doing nothing is just poor.
While it would be insane, I don’t think he said he’d violate Posse Comitatus. I believe he said he’d use the National Guard which, to the best of my and Wikipedia’s knowledge, isn’t covered by Posse Comitatus. Which, again, is not to say he should do it. It would be sheer lunacy.
Beyond fan revolt (and boy there’d be a lot of fan revolt), there’s just not time. While the season does end in May and start again in August, there’s almost always big international tournaments running in June and July. The World Cup is every four years, but the European Championships are also every four years…
I mean take the season City won in the last game. It was an unusual situation sure, but you’re never going to get any sport going closer to the wire than that. Title decided in pretty much the last minute of the season.
That’s exactly how it’s decided. I see it as quite satisfactory. You were the best over the season and played all the other teams twice, why not declare them the winner? The American system makes sense where not everyone plays everyone else evenly (at least that’s how I understand it from the NFL etc...), but if…
What do you mean exactly?
Gotta agree with Totilo here. SummerSlam was good, but failed to hold my attention at points. NXT grabbed hold of me for most of the show, although Breeze/Liger was a little weak. But all three title matches were absolutely brilliant, and the whole show was structured and paced in such a way that it kept me involved,…
