Agree with you completely. I believe there have been cases where players have been sent off for dealing with invading supporters too harshly, so remaining calm is key.

What on earth? You normally see at least 3 or 4 stewards chasing down any pitch invaders. Never seen it just completely ignored, even at 3rd or 4th tier football in the UK, let alone at international level. Crazy.
I would disagree slightly. Warm lager is, generally, not the nicest thing, regardless of quality. I mean sure, it's drinkable, but it's better cold. Unless I've been missing out on some incredible warm lagers, in which case let me know!
I think we can all get behind sharing a beer.
If he can gain a little maturity on the pitch (god knows I wouldn't want him to mature off the pitch) I think it could really improve his consistency and make him absolutely unplayable. He's got the raw talent, he just lacks the application at times.
Oh we're not good, that's very true. I'm just not convinced the US have overtaken us just yet, but you are on your way. Hopefully players like Sturridge and Sterling will give is a booth, while jettisoning Rooney and Gerrard may also help us out.
Heh we smoke less than the US (750 per adult per year vs 1,028 in the US) and we do have cold beer. We also have warm beer, which is just how certain beers should be served.
I was so sad when he left England. He's just amazing while simultaneously being a complete idiot.
Beautiful
It depends how you measure these things. Yes England have lost twice, but they're playing very good opposition, including a team with one of the best strikers in the world, Luis Suarez, even if he was coming off injury. The US have beaten Ghana, but they're not exactly an international powerhouse. If they manage to…
Rooney is/was (depending on your opinion on his current form) an exceptional club player who has generally struggled at international level, and particularly at tournaments. It's also worth remembering that this is his third World Cup and 10th appearance at a World Cup.
Yes is the short answer. Essentially if the ball is played by a defending player then there's no offside offense, and if it's just a rebound rather than actually playing the ball then I'm 99% sure that it's still considered that the person taking the corner played the ball, and therefore there can be no offside…
Ok so there are three conditions under which an offside offence occurs: Interfering with play, interfering with an opponent and gaining an advantage.
Unless I missed something, Courtois and Lukaku have both returned to Chelsea from their respective loan teams. Neither plays for the listed teams right now.
No if you want crazy nationality rules then look no further than the ICC rules on nationality in international cricket http://icc-live.s3.amazonaws.com/cms/media/abou…
I don't think it should be faceless. It should come from a huge, disembodied head, projected onto the roof of the arena, that finishes every call by booming "The league hath spoken!"
Oh a lot of big clubs don't really care any more, which, for the top sides, is understandable as it only gives you Europa League football (I'd actually be in favour of it giving you a CL spot but UEFA will never allow it as you'd likely lose a reasonably big side from the competition). I think it still captures the…
I'm English and I care, as do several of my friends.
A whole season? No way. World Cup is about a month long, most European leagues run from August to May.
My guess would be that continuity of the team is probably better in terms of fan relations and simplifies player contract issues, which makes the league more money.
