I heard her tell in an interviewthat it started during her pregnancy, but then continued beyond that, and that she had to wear different fat suits and prosthetics during the whole thing to keep Betty even. Of course she would have to wear something, because a pregnant woman doesn't look like a fat woman, but it would

The fat thing was because January Jones was pregnant, but yes to the rest.

I feel like I should say this, even though it has been mentioned a lot, but this site has the best Mad Men reviews I've read. Wonderful job.

Stupid facts, they always get in the way of a good story.

Yes, I think we are on the same page. I honestly didn't think she had that planned, but maybe you are right. I still think it was a nice ending for her. It was just last week that she was telling Don that she would always be younger than him. Youth is so important to Betty, it is somehow nice that she won't get old.

Maybe we are heading for Pete not getting the job because of that? It'd be a very Mad Men thing to do.

Well, of course. I explained myself pretty badly! I just caught the episode right now and I was still crying when I wrote that, it came out all confusing…
What I meant is that she was taking her studies because they made her happy, for herself, but that she knew she wouldn't build on that dream. What was she going to

I hope it is.

I honestly don't know what will happen at the finale. This felt like a perfect finale for me. I could live with leaving Don there, in the bus stop, full of hope. Pete and Trudy on their way to possibilities. Betty full of acceptance and confidence, getting a tragic but dignified victory. It was perfect.

I don't know that it is a terrible ending for her. Betty always cared a lot about her looks, about not getting old and weak and losing herself. Her instructions focused a lot on how she wanted to leave, and the world "intact" had a peculiar impact on me as I heard January Jones' voiceover. Betty leaves now, mature yet

I think he is working his way into it at his own pace, which is fine. He has issues with intimacy and physical contact, but I don't think he is uninterested. And in my opinion Amy's high sexual drive is also in part due to her social anxiety and the fact that she is a virgin but feels she shouldn't be at this point.

She's brilliant. She really did show that Amy was not truly blaming Sheldon for his somehow awkward behaviour, because Amy knows he has issues, but that she felt unable to deal with them at this point. It was a quiet and tragic moment, but it felt great because there was no anger in Amy, just disappointment and

I think there are some things you can't just hide… I mean, she was wearing perfectly normal and acceptable clothes, but they are huge.

My take on the scene was completely different. Like, he just draw a stupid pennis picture, in the most simple way possible, and showed it to her to make fun of her whole speech. Not like it was actually he trying to draw his own pennis.

For a moment there, I thought that too, to be honest, because this is Mad Men. It is cynical. But I ended up with "he will most certainly not call her".

Peggy's date was very sweet, though. I'd like him to be the one, if Peggy is meant to have a one. Not complaining about the dinner was so nice, I was actually surprised at a character acting that kindly in this show!

Well, The Feminine Mystique was not mentioned, but Betty started out living it. Exactly as described in the book. Show, don't tell!
The show is not about the moment, it is about the characters, but it does a good job of balancing not being about the moment with not ignoring it.

I don't know how people dress in the USA, but I find Alex's clothes pretty normal. I see a lot of girls her age and older dressing like that for everyday life.

My interpretation was that she was not drunk, just acting weird because of the disappointment. Hayley only gave her half a drink.

I think Marnie wouldn't count it, because for her it would have been one of those crazy things Jessa do. Marnie and Jessa don't really like each other, and Manrie looks down on her for her poor life choices, even though now she is making bad life choices too. In my opinion, Marnie not acknowledging Jessa's marriage
