Really? I knew many people that had the old PowerBooks, and Some MacBook Pros that would run with the lid down. They had external keyboard, mouse, monitor and would essentially dock them. They must have changed this in recent models to prevent that. Odd.

For those of you wondering why this is necessary: The old non-pro MacBooks were not allowed to run with their lids closed, they would force sleep as soon as the lid went down. MacBookPros had the option (you know cause they are pro models). This let us turn our MacBooks into some functionality of a pro.

Save your drier lint and do this. Sure it wont be as easy to dip but you can reuse that which you would have likely thrown out. You can dip/soak the lint in wax then press it out between some paper. If the paper sticks that's a bonus as now you have an easy lighting surface.
