I don’t have any issues with cosmetics being purchase-only. The core game-play loop is there and solid. My point being though, jplearn can go check it out for free and see if they like it vs paying to see if they like Dreamlight

Walk up to a thing, press an interact button, wait, repeat forever

Go sign up for the Palia open beta that’s currently on-going. I’ve had a chill fun time plucking away at it randomly.

It’s not Disney related, but it is a new Animal Crossing clone - but it’s online and you can play with friends if you desire.

Is there not laws about false advertising that this fall into?

with some praising the decision to avoid the messiness that is often standard with F2P microtransactions”

I love the Looney Tunes and I love a lot of Browngardt's work but I think this is doomed. The Tunes were invented for a short format and that's where they work best. Stretching them out (ironic, since they're quite good at stretching) simply doesn't work.

I guess I feel the same way about Looney Tunes as I do about The Muppets... that stuff was great when it was new, but at this point it’s like trying to milk a dead cow.

I’m not 100% sure but I think you can have separate teams working on expansion and QoL updates at the same time.

What are you even talking about? “Colonizer” has been in use as a political term for decades.  You can now return to your regularly scheduled program of being wrong about things.

I don’t know, it’s ok, but I’m personally not super impressed with much of it. It feels way too easy and all over the place visually and design wise, and while my 5-year-old has been enjoying playing it together with me, if it weren’t for him I don’t think I would’ve even picked it up in the first place. Definitely

Isn’t that sort of the problem she’s pointing out?

if you knew anything about Layden’s career and how hard he championed for smaller niche and obscure import games, and especially fought for the PSP and Vita, you would not make such a characteristically inaccurate statement. If anything, Sony would be better served having him back and filling Jim Ryan’s shoes.

“The game can start to get unbalanced as you begin unlocking more powers and accumulating upgrades, especially in the second half.”

I think the bigger factor to consider is that at 5 years in, the Switch was still the best selling game console on the market whereas at 5 years the N64 had largely already been deemed a pretty big failure and was just biding time for them to get a successor to market.

I completely agree with Christopher Cote’s statement. I am a white woman who saw an advanced screening last night and came out of the film feeling like it had completely missed the mark by not taking the opportunity to center around Molly’s and her family’s experience — especially considering the transcendent level of

Everyone is saying “Marty” this and “flower moon” that, but no one is saying “Creator” this and “original sci-fi” that!
