for how long? ablative armor against an incoming target? your vapor just blew away in the wind. otherwise you're cooked, or my laser made your aircraft/missile unstable beyond its flight systems ability to cope and you crash.

quadcopters i don't typically run into. neighbor has one and it's basically silent - and he's flying it 20ft off the ground. these things are loud up close, but get pretty far away? not so loud. there's plenty of videos of phantoms flying away - and the sound drops off quick.
