I really like to imagine these people arriving in heaven and being lead into a conference room for a very special meeting with Jesus. Mary brings them coffee. Joseph tells them Jesus will be right with them. They’re certain all is right with the world and they’re getting the eternal reward that they so richly deserve.

Yesterday, it was a picture of Ciri from the Blood and Wine DLC where she visits Geralt at his house. It was the ending where she was a witcher, so she looked like main story Ciri.

I think that it will really come down to how they style her. Everything about their clothing, makeup and hair is more childish. If they change that, I could see it working. I am biased because I really like them in this role. It could be wishful thinking, but Pedro Pascal looks a lot older in this than he does in real

I think this is the most accurate take. The reasonable corners of the internet are saying “this isn’t good but it’s not terrible enough for me to get upset about it.”

Less deeply ironic and more deeply hypocritical. Nothing about this is unexpected.

I don’t feel like Brendan Fraiser’s sexual assault got enough publicity for the reasons you mentioned. If I was having a conversation with a friend, I could see them not knowing about it. Jezebel covered this as recently as Sept 2022, so you’d think they’d be aware of why he’s avoiding the golden globes. I understand

I blame those of us that keep hanging out at these sites propping up bad takes. I know that clicking on this garbage makes it worse, but I can’t seem to help myself. It’s like a reddit post, only more poorly fact checked.

I recently did and it’s not as bad as you’d think. Prior to this summer, I’d watched Black Panther and Captain America. I’ve been watching the movies more or less at random since June. I don’t really feel lost and there isn’t a lot of complexity to them to sort through. I’m sure I’m missing stuff but it’s not

I totally agree. I should've been clearer. I was a bit frustrated by the unsubstantiated information in this article and I didn't take the time to articulate my point well.

It said in another article that Stanford did refer the assault to local law enforcement. They also investigated it internally. Which seems appropriate. Whether that investigation was fair or well done is a different question.

I really have a hard time coming to terms with Jezebel’s reporting here. I never expected it to be good, but this is well below my low expectations. Where are they even getting this information? I can’t find anything stating that this football player raped her friend. Stanford has to investigate an alleged assault

I’ve spent some time in Maine. I can confirm that it’s full of fucking weirdos. I also saw more confederate flags visiting Maine than I have living in the South.

There was some interesting polling in 2016 and 2020 that I can’t seem to locate right now. Bernie and his policies polled well, but when asked if they would vote for a Democratic Socialist people said absolutely not even though they agreed with his policies. I don't think Bernie could've beaten Trump in 2016 or 2020.

I agree. This is the kind of absurd article that gets people talking about whether or not to use coat hangers instead of how we can preserve abortion access. We spend way too much time arguing about things that don’t matter. The real question is will this send the correct message. Illegal abortions are potentially

.

I really think it’s a mixed bag. My local BLM group participated in protests and leveraged that recognition into voter registration drives, organizing transportation to the polls and some other local initiatives. Their goal is to get more Black people in local office. I think the specificity and clearly stated goal

You’re right. I’m oversimplifying. I’m just so frustrated with the way we, as in eligible voters, get excited about tweets and clapbacks and consider that activism. Every presidential election people pop up to support 3rd party candidates, but those folks are no where to be found during local elections. It’s so

Look they're going to pass that savings down to us! Trickle down economics is going to actually work any day now. We've only been waiting decades as productivity rose and wages stagnated!

I’m really starting to feel like Liberals and Progressives care more about gotcha questions and funny tweets than we do about actual change. We could lose Obergefell v Hodges and Lawrence v Texas, but at least Ted Cruz looked silly! It’s so frustrating. The squad has great tweets, but what have they actually

I want to say upfront that I don’t support the death penalty and I believe that Melissa Lucio deserves a retrial based on the way her confession was obtained and the way the prosecutor’s corruption.
