SCROTUS-ELECT

It’s ridiculous how terrified these people are. Bumfuck, Iowa isnt an isis target and gay mafia isn’t going to take over their church.

Well it’s funny too that they talk about how they’re ruggedly independent unlike the inner city “takers”, which is a dogwhistle if I’ve ever heard one, but the red states are the takers!! So I feel like I can make the argument that my Californian ass is more American than theirs!

Never thought I’d see the day when I supported paper trail DDOS-ing...

Yeah, I’d officially like to check my privilege for the rest of my life. I’ve never felt so gross in my own skin.

I’m going to stop you here and say that your comment was about the rural whites. If we are going to have a class discussion and specifically the working class, then that’s different. Statistically, the working class is comprised of a majority minority population. If you want to focus on the white working class,

This. I happened to be in NYC last week for business but I live in LA. Does it make me a snotty elitist because I think people should be treated human beings instead of reducing them to racial/religious epithets? Then it’s a label I wear without shame.

This country is becoming browner and gayer by the day. Like it or not We Ain’t going back. You deal with it “Real America.”

What bugs me is that rural America and the cities are so close. You don’t have to drive far out of Chicago or NYC or DC or SF to find the red areas. Why the eff is there such a divide?

im honestly disengaging. i cannot speak to people like this. i had a really bad run in with my neighbor over this too, and she’s a young single jewish woman and i was just fucking agog. now shes trying to like get me to absolve her for her vote.

If you Jezzies haven’t watched Fleabag yet GET ON IT. I laughed, I cried, I died. People tell me that “No offense but” I remind them of her. None taken, I assure you!

it’s incomprehensible. My sister (and let me preface this with saying she’s an intelligent, well-read white woman, married for 32 years, adult daughter & son) also pointed out that when Clinton didn’t consider oral sex “a sexual act” is when they lost her respect. I countered with the fact that it wasn’t Mr. Clinton

Sorry, no. I’m with Patrick Thornton on this.

From what my friends out in L.A., SF and DC say, it was the same thing there. Long lines, but excitement to usher in Madame President. I fear, as the comment below me says, it’s a rural vs. urban problem that needs to be addressed.

Sorry I am tired being told by people in the middle and southern parts of the US that they are more of a “real American” than us snobby out of touch eastern elites. This morning in NY on my way to work, so these lazy red states can live off my tax dollars, I saw white, black, brown, Jewsih, Christian, Muslim, gay &

I fear that this election will only further the cultural divide between rural and urban America. Those of us that live in cities will now blame the rural white vote for ushering in an utter embarrassment as President.

I’m increasingly convinced overburdening people with data keeps us safer than trying to keep it from them.

That top picture makes me really hungry for pizza.

Yeah the Republican Congress and conservative media wants to dish the immigration problem off on the Democrat-voting cities—scold them for being “sanctuaries”—while urban police forces (thankfully) have zero interest in becoming deportation squads.
