I seem really sexist when I say this to certain people.
The 'battle race' mode is one of the most asinine decisions I've seen out of Nintendo games in a while. That is simply NOT Battle Mode. Period.
In the same manner of others? Hell no. They offer a full-fledged game at the beginning, and then bring DLC half a year later to increase the content by 50%. Who else does that?
Wonder if Nintendo will even bother with Battle Mode.

Honestly, I probably would have skipped the 3DS version if they came out on the same day. The staggered release gives me a reason (and a couple paychecks) to definitely get both.
IMO people shouldn't be allowed to call something a sequel to something when they had no relationship to its creation or without the approval of some hierarchy of people who were given the authority to do so by the original's creator.
