I enjoyed Cool Spot as a kid. For whatever reason I loved the shit out of the bonus level music. It’s pretty cheesy listening to it now, but the memories go untainted.

Nah, there are some nearly unplayable games out there. You really gotta dive into more obscure games to discover the real trash.

You take that back about Boogerman! =]

lol! Thank you. I had absolutely no idea why anyone would do something like this to a Super Nintendo. Now I understand

I did mention music levels under automatic levels. The reason I stated level types weren’t “necessarily mutually exclusive” was to suggest a level can fall into multiple categories. Story levels are very cool, as are puzzle levels, quiz levels, metroidvania levels, weird gimmick levels (bobomb basketball? guitar

Say no more. PC+Wii U is the best possible setup you could have.

I feel like Local Multiplayer (Single Screen, not LANs) has really started to boom as well. I play local multiplayer games once a month with a group of friends and we can no longer keep up with all of the releases coming out. It wasn’t long ago when local multiplayer gaming on a PC was very rare

The only problem I have

He didn’t say it was legal....but ideas of right and wrong are defined in more ways than simply by legal terms.

Also, your analogy is completely backwards. It would be the equivalent of going to the store and buying the star wars bluray set...then going home and torrenting the original unedited movies.

No, there’s a pretty diverse mixed bag. For some reason Patrick mostly just reports on these types of levels (which is unfortunate for most people). Types of levels you see

He brought up two points in his post (one about the cost and one about the character choices) and I was trying to respond to both. But you’re right, I did misunderstand his point about only one new nintendo character.

Nonetheless, I don’t see that as a problem. The real issue is that he personally isn’t interested

Four out of seven DLC characters are nintendo characters. I’m sorry it sounds like some of the character choices don’t appeal to you, but for most people it’s a pretty good set overall. It’s never going to match anyone’s dream list

In terms of sales, it’s certainly best to create downloadable content while developing the original game, then release them close to the game’s launch. But for this specific title, we created downloadable content from scratch after finishing the original game’s development. Each piece of content requires intense work.

The other night I was drinking in excess with my girlfriend at home on a Saturday night. Eventually she fell asleep on the couch and I was left to make do with the remainder of the night. I’ve been afraid to jump back into rocket league after having worked my way up into some of the higher level play. For some reason

I took it to be the latter...but who knows!

I think the top comment on that sums my thoughts up exactly...it also justifies your enjoyment of Crystal Skull. People tend to blow things out of proportion. Set your own standards and just try to have a good time.

I agree people are overreacting...but you really think GameFAQs is irrelevant? You might be surprised. Even if you just search for video game walkthroughs, unlockables, or cheats....GameFAQs will almost always be in the top three results if not the top result.

Fuck this shit.

Do you ever wonder why someone would sell game and then sell a way to skip part of it? I can’t see any way to look at that and think, “Wow this is great. That sure was generous of them.”

To some people, it’s about the principal.

If you are compelled to pay money to skip part of the game, then it sounds like you aren’t playing a game worth your time or money. There are so many great games out there and you’ll never get around to playing them all. Choose your experiences wisely.

That’s a pretty simplistic way of defining Kotaku. In either case, no matter how you view it, the writers aren’t immune to judgement...
