Its true the Retron 5 is a glorified emulator and cartridge reader with built in ports for original controllers. Definitely not the direction I wanted to see it go. But to be fair, it was superior to the Retron 3 in terms of output quality. The Retron 3 has some considerable sound issues especially on the SNES side

Close enough!

I have two Retron 3s and they work fairly well compared to other clone systems. I got a Retron 5 when it first came out and it was horrific. I could take a fairly common game and put it in the Retron 5 and struggle to get it to work if at all, then watch it run perfectly on the Retron 3. I returned it but I’ve heard

I don’t know if I’d go as far as calling it a non-issue. Technology with moving parts will always be subject to more potential for all sorts of mechanical failures (not exclusive to the motors). I was only saying sometimes the cost savings is well worth the compromise just as it is with HDD vs SSDs.

Optical drives and hard disk drives have moving parts and yet even modern devices like the PCs and Consoles still rely on both. Yes they do suffer from durability issues, no one would argue that. But there’s a good reason flash storage isn’t more common even though it is faster and more durable. Affordability is a

It’d be awesome if they brought to life the concept of unveiling a brand new game for the competition like they did in The Wizard

I think a hack that could get you (an innocent player) reported and potentially banned would be a little more than annoying.

You are greatly oversimplifying the matter of gauging difficulty. Are you just here to flex your muscles and look down on people? It’s not very impressive.

That would be dumb...but I guess it could be worse and they could call it New Doom.

I don’t think most people think Reggie is solely responsible for every business decision Nintendo ultimately makes, nor do most people find that Nintendo in general has had a very anti-consumer history. They may make decisions I don’t like sometimes or even ones I find shortsighted, but I don’t think they are

If you still don’t get why people like them, I don’t know how else to explain it or elaborate. I think it’s a lost cause at this point.

1. What does he do? You keep talking about what he has done for Nintendo or what he has done for fans, but its kind of a pointless question. The most I could tell you is that he probably does what COOs do and it isn’t particularly exciting.

He manages a large subsidiary of an even larger company. A vast majority of his work involves things you probably don’t give a shit about and wouldn’t ever know about.

People appreciate that he takes the time to be the face of Nintendo for North America and that he does so in a way that shows he has a passion for his

Sweet jesus yes they did.

Wow, it definitely appears so. It seems like a strange thing to reference...

For what its worth...the luxuries of the internet will allow people to watch both

Wow, I'm glad we both know what deadlifts are now.

I have a tie...

I once played Asteroids on the 2600 for 12 hours straight to see how close I could get to one of the Twin Galaxies high scores...I would’ve been in third. To be honest it wasn’t about getting a high score, I was just in a strange place in my life. I think the best/worst part is that I left the regular

Jesus man do you need to be here on every konami article to remind people that konami does things other than video games like it means something? We don’t care. We care about Konami Digital Entertainment which is one of Konami’s principal businesses and has been for a long time. People here only care about seeing one
