Very true...with beanie babies they very intentionally made a limited stock of each character, and when it was gone they made a new one so people would continue buying/collecting them. In the end there's this vast assortment of them making up a pretty huge total number. I think the only difference is that Nintendo at

Oh yeah, don't get me wrong...Nintendo hasn't impressed me much lately with all these inventory issues. I was just sharing hopefully helpful links. I checked my local gamestop today to see if they still had preorders for just the adapter and there were not any left =\.

This is my thought exactly. If this was the issue...how'd we get the second and third waves of amiibos already while we haven't seen any replenishment of Marth, Villager, and WFT? Definitely not because of the port strike. We've even seen all of the other first wave amiibo's restocked.

Gamestop is now taking preorders for a new shipment expected in May. Also, they recently listed a new bundle that includes the adapter and one controller that you can currently buy right now.

You could do what jesus said though too and get a third party one.

This guy nails it. It doesn't really matter because most tournaments aren't using custom move sets. Even if anyone wanted to, it would be a nightmare to unlock all of the moves. I couldn't even bare doing it on my own 3DS copy, and by the time I got the Wii U version I just didn't give nearly enough of a fuck.

I had a lot of fun with starbound but I was playing it early on because I was overly excited and the save files had to get erased with one of the updates. I figured I'd start back up eventually but I'm waiting to start with someone else since these types of games are twice as much fun with people.

I remember at one

That's the spirit

Way to dig yourself even deeper. I could write you a pretty lengthy response but I can already tell it is pointless if you can't even watch your own linked video.

Hard to say whether they intentionally created it or not...but there certainly is a certain amount of mania going on. Its just like you said...it feels good to have those rares. Everyone is suddenly excited to get a hold of them. I wonder if they'll end up similar to Beanie Babies down the road...once highly sought

...yet you see a flat level with 2 people dodging each other with no items...

Same here, I genuinely tried to keep up with all the updates. Most of the time I was within an hour, sometimes minutes...every time I was too late.

Get over yourselves.

Your explanation sounds plausible, but it also seems to either assume things or know things no one else really knows. If you had some sources I'd be interested. I would think even in the event of needing to manufacture additional units, I'd rather have it backordered than not be able to order it at all. It would

It is a pretty crappy bandaid. $50 isn't even than nice of a bandaid considering it was for an item you can't get anymore unless you are willing to fork out $400+

If he did it the way I do it he'd sick his dog on her and then put her to sleep first. I've caught 'em all, I know how it's done.

I'm from the US and I didn't find most of these funny. The Bright Powder one is a little funny though. People laugh at different things I guess.

I'm just a platinum elite status chump...my body wasn't ready, nintendo...It wasn't ready.

Limited Edition could be taken in different ways. Why couldn't it be limited to preorders as a way of enticing and rewarding early adopters? It would still be limited. The idea of selling just a limited number of systems just for the sake of selling a limited number of systems benefits no one. It's frustrating to

Good god, I didn't notice that timestamp. That is pretty weird.
