Re: Them calling it a “Season Finale” rather than a “Series Finale” - they want to leave it open for a season 2, where El Cucuy’s mother (played by Meryl Streep) comes to town to find out what happened to her son, and everyone is needlessly keeping it a secret for some ill-defined reason.

This season was a hell of a lot of boring high-minded monologues delivered in front of arty backdrops and maybe ten minutes’ worth of actual plot. I’ll give season three a chance, but if it’s more of this I’m out.
I’ll give season three a chance if only because of it being, again, a new showrunner. This season was a mess and really squandered what it had to work with in terms of talent and design. I only hope new direction gets it back in shape - not necessarily the same as the first season but something solid.

The "I hate my son" one isn't funny at all; it's heartbreaking. And the "I regret having them every single day" one, over the beautiful photo of those adorable little boys, is incredibly sad as well. In fact, I find most of these more sad than funny. I think these women must be in a lot of pain to put these posts up…
