I was an SR-71 Machinist and the Chief of Metals Technology for the 9th SRW that flew and maintained the Blackbirds.

That Rudder from 955 is really not something you would want in your home.
SR-71 Rudders are composed of a "Plastic" exterior with a titanium internal structure and control and mounting components.

Why?…
