I saw it last night as well. It’s really fucked up, brilliant, disturbing, beautiful, and horrifying, and I guarantee you will not leave saying, “eh, it was okaaaay....”. You will either love it completely, or hate it completely.

I was going to see this movie based on it being his new film alone, and haven’t read ANY spoilers or seen trailers or even read a synopsis....and your description just makes me want to see it even more.

Agreed. It’s not my favourite Aronofsky but it’s damn close. The fact that it was consistent and made sense with coherent themes while being so batshit ambitious, wildly original yet drawing on so many influences, it’s stunning.

MOTHER really is quite a good movie. It’s been on my mind since I saw it, which is something you can’t say about any of the summer blockbusters.

This seriously really makes me want to see this now. I was on the fence before.

Look man, that was a heavy fucking plane, and it was powered with a lawnmower engine. It needed all ten miles of that runway to gain enough speed to take off.
