Sometimes networks will do that to try to get people hooked on the pilot. AMC did it with Low Winter Sun (and promised us Breaking Bad previews at the commercial break). The annoyance in the room was palpable.

Fargified, clearly.

Jesus Richie…

Yeah, there was practically no mystery in True Detective, despite the title. It was more of a character study with a little police work thrown in for kicks.

That's when True Detective hit its sweet spot, if we're keeping up the comparisons.

I thought for a moment—just a moment—that the show was introducing a little humanizing moment with Joff when he graciously accepted Tyrion's gift.

At least Ramsay isn't the king, so his capacity for evil is at least somewhat reduced.

I hope the new Truman isn't an inveterate maturbator.

Damn, that would have been cool.

Damn, that sucks. Makes me feel a little better about being oh-for-2014.

I want a reenactment of him punching cupcakes.

Not exactly a radical viewpoint; I think everyone agrees the Moore movies are mostly stinkers (though I think each one has its merits; LALD has the run across the gators and the boat chase; MWTGG has Christopher Lee and the car flip; Spy Who Loved Me is just plain good; Moonraker has the skydive scene; For Your Eyes

I laughed

The gondola scene is pretty awesome!

Is she really that smart? When has she ever done anything particularly noteworthy? It's mostly Tywin pulling the strings.

Yeah, he totally owned that trial thing. Atta kid Jon Snow, you don't totally suck now.

Joffrey is hilarious. I hope his antics get more an more out of control this season.
