Everything Faraday Future says is about claiming originality on something utterly commonplace. Ooooooh it’s got a radical modular platform? You mean like the Ford Model T?
Plus being actual raging pieces of sh. That’s a thing, too.
Right? I always thought the mustache grill upset the otherwise rather elegant lines
That grille is so polarizing. Some people love it. I absolutely hate it. I find it so unattractive that, and I say this without an ounce of hyperbole, it is the second ugliest car I have ever seen (just behind the Youabian Puma). Take away the grille and it’s serviceable (The Destino looks really good!). I always…
It is. The proportions are extreme. In a good way. It’s like a giant GT. Proportionally I think it’s sexier than a Model S, but it’s far less functional, as a result.
I thought Lutz’s Destino did a better job by removing the weirder features while still maintaining the overall feel of the styling.
This isn't necessarily all that different from what Elon Musk has done. Tesla Motors was a struggling upstart when Musk first bought into it, and over the past decade, he's built it up into a big, successful company. Lu is doing kind of the same thing - he's bought two struggling companies and wants to build them up…
This is all nothing but good news. Competition breeds innovation and drives down prices. Customers are the winners here.
