That dude from The President Show does a way better impression of Trump; he really nails that tone of whiny belligerence that he does. Baldwin basically just does “Jack Donaghy as Trump”, which was funny for awhile but getting stale at this point. He’s certainly not the worst Trump SNL has had (Taran Killam), but why

Again Baldwin as Trump laid a giant egg—just wasn’t funny. And I bet the reason why is simple: our pathologically lying shithead of a president is so over-the-top, such a braying ignoramus, there’s nothing left from a distortion standpoint so to make fun of Orange Dumbass.

Trevor Noah does a better Trump, and it’s not very good.

Agreed, the Trump impression just doesn’t cut it anymore, it’s repetitive, not particularly accurate or funny, and worse, it’s almost making him seem sort of cuddly and lovable, instead of the maliciously ignorant spite-monster he really is. Seth Meyers packs more truths into his brief and laser-sharp Trump

If it wasn’t such a ratings hit and TV news cycle highlight they would’ve moved to a regular cast member doing Trump a long time ago. I kinda hope Baldwin finds some work to keep him busy soon so they can stop leaning on his weak impression to glide through every cold open

They need someone else doing Trump. It’s become too comfortable and that takes the impact out of those sketches when it’s important they hit hard.

They tend to let standups just do their act. And thank god because the signing monologues, and the question from the audience monologues, are usually pretty brutal.

Dumbest thing about Trump’s latest “Merry Christmas” pathetic pander (besides that he’s doing it in October) (and besides that Democrats are letting the GOP write the narrative again): that he said “Judeo-Christian vales.” Judeo. As in not Christian.

It may have been only fair episode but Nanjiani seemed to know his material and didn’t rely so heavily on cue cards like many hosts seem to do. The Call Center skit was strangely affecting and almost touching. I am not sure about the humanizing of Melania because one can’t help but find think her actively complicit

That Niger joke was the best joke SNL has told in seasons. Shocking and perfectly crafted.

He was in Uptown Saturday Night, Let’s Do It Again, A Piece of the Action, and California Suite; all good movies.

Because they’re still great movies? If it turned out Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was Jack the Ripper, Sherlock Holmes would still be a great character.

I know there’s the art and artist debate. But I still gotta watch Chinatown once a year.

Great Ukko takes offense at your insinuation that the Finns were vikings and you will be banished to Tuonela forthwith to be eternally eaten by sacred bears. Ta!

A flight to Hell? What is this, United Airlines?!

Are we seriously digging up a flippant :05 sec comment from 6 years ago? It seems to me it was a comment made very much in context of the “rape and pillage” nature of the show, and was spoken specifically during a GoT panel. If you’re easily triggered by any mention of rape, then the overt sexual violence of GoT

Yeah, yeah... It’s like when Oprah says stuff like, “Money doesn’t buy happiness”. Moreover, is it me, or does Justine Batement look like a person who was a zombie on the Walking Dead, but got a cure and is turning back into a normal human, but not quite there yet?

Slightly related, I’m really tired of random people on the street reading my “Quit reading my t-shirt!” t-shirt.

He must have made a deal with this guy.
