This is nonsensical. Even if Ahsoka was popular, and the purported figures do not bear this out, there are far fewer people are watching Ahsoka than, say, CSI whatever. The OP friends are probably far more representative of reality than you.

Yeah it really hasn’t been.
“Like other big Disney shows before it, Star Wars: Ahsoka has been the big point of TV discussion for the last several weeks.”
Trust me, we weren’t taking it seriously then either. The show may have moved into a more overtly silly, campy tone, but it was always silly and campy.
“We did not hire a corporate marketing team to develop a catch phrase. Nor did generals sit around a table in the Pentagon debating what the statement should be...”

Ian Mckellen was meant to be Gandalf, just as Christopher Lee was meant to be Saruman. And that is an encouraging thought...
I think sadly we live in a world where mediocrity has been elevated to meaning ‘great.’ This was an enjoyable episode, 3 stars, but it really isn’t all that. And I totally agree that despite the minimal dialogue and limited screen time, Ray and Ivanna are killing it compared to everyone else. Rosario’s take on Ahsoka…
I tend to think an enhanced ability to communicate with your constituents where they are is a legitimate expense, especially for $80 a year. Members of Congress already have the “franking” privilege, which allows them to send official mail at the government’s cost. I don’t think this is much different.
Honestly, though. This Ahsoka is incredibly stoic compared to the INSANE amount of feisty, snippy, carefree Ahsoka we’ve come to know for decades now. It definitely fits her personality when we last saw her in Rebels, with the staff and the wordless command she gives Sabine, but it’s also understandable that we want…
thank you for not making me feel like i’m completely insane. this show is aggressively, maddeningly just OK. especially as someone who watched Rebels exactly once, contemporaneously, definitely missed a few episodes and—most importantly—has never unironically retweeted an image of Dave Filoni made to look like jesus.
Not with all the perversions of qualified immunity.
Feels like we need a new term instead of “trumped up”. Using his name even inadvertently to mean “falsely accused” is wrong on so many levels.
Why are you referring to the actors by their first names and not including their last names, do you know them personally? Also, why are you switching between their first names (only) and the character names?
It was just okay.
Bingo. Before I got a smartphone, I would be reading a book. Half the time on my smartphone, I’m still reading a book via Kindle.
If you do anything other than staring at a wall and think intently on your food while you’re eating you’ll probably die or something. Our ancestors who used to stare into a fire while they were eating? Doing it wrong, that’s why we’re in the horrible position we are now what with people looking at their phones while…
Oh man it’s only Monday and we’ve already got a ‘TECH PANIC!’ piece.
How else am I supposed to know if the pic of my food came out? Insta NEEDS to know what I am eating!
