Bass trombone love!

The good one?

No. Thank him for the decades of outstanding music, and work for some of the world's finest musicians!. Kidada and Rashida are wonderful, but they aren't as good at what they do as he is!

And her husband helped in making Harlem unaffordable! When I moved here, 15 years ago, there was a painting of a brownface Bill Clinton in a dashiki holding pictures of Malcom X and Nelson Mandela saying, "Welcome to Heavenly Harlem!"

🎶Kuhn Chicken Inn🎶

Okay. As a survivor (10 years) of gastro-esophageal junction cancer, I can think of 4 or 5 people that, if cancer was contagious, I would gleefully break into their homes, lick their doorknobs and spit on their toothbrushes.

Bass trombone love!

Yeah. I found out on a gig last Tuesday. She was a very private person. Nobody knew she was sick (cancer) except for her family. She covered a lot of ground in her 60 years.

Also, respect to the late pianist/composer Geri Allen, who passed last Tuesday. And legendary drummer Mickey Roker, whom we lost in May.
I look forward to checking out Mr. Cohran's work.
It's like 2016 for Jazz/BAM!

Fair enough. However Grover W. was aware of the masters who came before him. He did a clinic in Richmond, VA where someone tried to crack on him, and he called "Giant Steps" and by all accounts acquitted himself quite nicely. Ronnie Laws…well other than Earth, Wind, and Fire, I'm not as hip to him. But Maurice…

Good lord and butter! You'd be surprised!

Kenneth Gorelick, while being a talented saxophonist with a good head for business, is NOT a jazz musician. Grover Washington Jr., Ronnie Laws, David Sanborn, Art Porter, and Don Myrick are way more informed by that tradition than he is.

And Tech Romancer!

Pootie Tang!

Not on Antenna TV. The "Tarzan movie" line is gold!

What a thoroughly beautiful woman!

There was 1982's "The New Odd Couple", with Ron Glass and Demond Wilson as Felix and Oscar.

But…what about Fun Boy Three?

I was surprised that she's Italian. To me she sounded like a combination of Russian and Scandinavian. Go figure!

…BOSOM!…BWAHAHAHAAAA!!!!!
